I want to find out a match between 2 tables:

I want to output the value from B. If I use:
=VLOOKUP(A1,B:B,1)
I get:

I also tried with an OR statement:
=VLOOKUP(A1,B:B,1) OR VLOOKUP(A2,B:B,1)
But this gets me:

I want to get:

How can I fix this?

I think you could use a special formula:
=INDEX(B:B,MATCH(A1,A:A,0))
because excel can't use the INDIRECT formula for more than one row.
The MATCH function gives the index of the first cell with the same value as the value of A1 (starts at the top left of the first column of B).
INDIRECT formula would get the correct value for the first row (A) and the value for the second row (A2). MATCH will get the right value for the first row.
